Montmartre

  • Well known for the white domed Basilica of the Sacre Coeur on it’s summit, Montmartre is today the last village in the big city of Paris. Dating of a Paris once independent and carrying a spirit of rebellion,  is has always attracted bohemian artists and celebrities. Many famous artists like Picasso, Monet, Van Gogh, Toulouse Lautrec lived and worked in Montmartre.

  • The Abbesses  neighbourhood has been the setting of many hit films. In 2001, Amelie Poulain and the little grocery shop on Rue des Trois Frères have met a fabulous success all over the world. The area is lively and extremely cosmopolitan. This “bobo” (bourgeois bohemian) village offers endless walks and secret paths revealing famous monuments as well as beautiful architecture, hidden gardens and vineyards.
